Tom is a freelance programmer who loves to build apps. Frank is his collegue and a true media expert. Blogging, tweeting, analytics, he knows it all.
Of-course, Tom is never ill. But he knows, that when he does get sick, he needs some sort of insurance.
So Tom started to search for an insurance company that could insure him
This turned out to be a real challenge. Insurance companies want to know everything about you. They want all kinds of documents, the process takes really long and on top of that, they are very expensive.

Ellis, how do you guys do this in the freelance group?
O, really easy actually. We use Xablu contracts.
O? so how does that works? Tom asks.
Easy and simple
We have a Xablu contracts environment in which we can vote in new members. If someone is voted in, we have setup an automatic monthly fee.
Everyone can see what goes in the shared account and what happens with it. So it is fully transparant en automated for every member.
Once someone gets ill, a procedure is started. If he turns out to be really sick than he will be paid.
The rules are all up to us
And because everything is stored using the latest technology (blockchain), nothing can be changed without the rules we have put in place. It is extremely secure.
Oke, so you also don’t have to deal with a 3rd party insurance company?
Correct;) We made our own system and have complete transparency with no overhead.
And what you see, is that people are less tempted to ask for funding when it is not absolutely necessary.
